My cleanser
The foaming cleanser that I’m using right now is from Chanel Beauty. It’s from the Glamour Beauty Awards! I was testing all the products and now have a third of it left. I’ve been loving it. I have dry skin, and I feel like it doesn’t dry me out. I love a foam cleanser because I want that deep clean, so I really, really love it. It smells so nice.
My essence
I really love Tatcha’s The Essence. That’s the one I’ve been using lately. I feel like it adds hydration back into my skin. I went to an event where Vicky Tsai told me personally that it actually has a formula where any kind of moisturizer you put on top of it will be absorbed even more deeper into layers of your skin. So you’re going to get even more hydrated long-term. I was sold, and I’ve been using it ever since.
My serum
I’m kind of bougie. I’m using the La Mer Hydrating Emulsion serum. It’s really nice. Sometimes serums can feel a little sticky, but this one doesn’t. It feels really nice and moisturizing. I was at the airport recently traveling internationally, and that’s when I get my La Mer, so I don’t have to pay the duty. It’s amazing.
My moisturizer
The moisturizer that I’m using right now is also La Mer, the Créme de La Mer. It’s my go-to. I have really dry skin and it’s always being fussy with me because I put lots of makeup and powder on it. So I have to just go for the thick stuff. For the red carpet, it’s different and depends. I love to apply many moisturizers. I feel like you can never get enough. It doesn’t matter what skin type you have. Moisturizers just help plump up the skin.
My eye cream
I’ve been using one from Farmacy called Cheer Up Cherry. It’s so nice and moisturizing. I’ve also been using one by Biossance. The brand is super clean, which I love because then I can use it on pretty much anyone. Their skin-care products are great to have in your makeup kit because it’s not going to irritate a lot of people. It’s my go-to.
My face mask
My go-to is the Tatcha Luminous Deep Hydration Lifting Mask. It tightens and lifts and has the essence of one young coconut in each mask, which is what’s hydrating your skin so much. It also plumps and makes your skin look alive again. If you’re ever on a long flight, sometimes you look in the mirror and you’re like, “Oh my gosh, I haven’t slept.” Slap that baby on, and I tell you, it brings five years back of youth into your skin. It’s so good. I love it.
My spot treatment
Spot treatments for breakouts. I’m using a lot of the Peace Out pimple patches. They’re little stickers. Love those. Those are so good and easy. You put them on and they’re pretty much invisible. They’re clear. Especially before bed they’re great. If I see that my client has a pimple, I’ll be like, “Slap one on,” and I’ll do their eyes while that’s on. Even that makes a difference. Those just shrink it up, which is really nice.
My face oil
I love face oils. There’s so many good ones. Augustinus Bader’s face oil is incredible. I just ran out, but I was using it until the last drop. It’s so rich. I also really like the one by Biossance as well. Their face oil is really great. Those are my favorites right now.
My face mist
There’s two I can never go wrong with. The Mario Badescu Facial Spray is so easy to find and inexpensive and always a go-to because it adds a hydration back to the skin. I use it on everyone and on myself. It’s a holy grail product in my kit for sure. But I also really love the Caudalie mist because it feels like you’re at a spa. It feels very luxurious and hydrating. It wakes you up if you have fatigued skin. Anytime my clients look a little sleepy in the chair, I just spray that and it revives them.
My sunscreen
I love the Fenty Skin Hydra Vizor with sunscreen, especially for my personal use. If I’m in a hurry and need to get out the door, I slap that on. There’s my moisturizer and sunscreen in one and it eliminates a step. It’s very invisible, so I’m not going to feel pastier or white. It’s very, very moisturizing. I also love Supergoop. They have so many sunscreen options. The Glowscreen is really good when I want to look dewy and then they have the original formula, which is really great for everyday use. I’ll be cocktailing my sunscreen sometimes.
My lip balm
I really love Laneige. It’s a go-to. Also, Jouer has a really nice lip balm. Those two feel similar.
My devices
I love a good device, even just a good old-fashioned jade gua sha. I feel like it has more control, because however I push down, there is the same amount of blood flow I’m going to get on my face, so I can control how strong I want it. I also have this red light goggle mask that I just bought recently from Sephora that I’ve been using on my clients, especially when I put their undereye patches on. I slap that on and it’s supposed to help your products penetrate and rejuvenate your skin. I do see a difference. I love any kind of gadget.
My body care and fragrance
I love a good scent. A lot of the time when I’m doing makeup on my clients, they’ll be like, “Why do you smell so good? What are you wearing?” And I’ll be like in my head thinking, I’m not wearing perfume. It’s actually the Secret Dry Spray. They come in so many beautiful scents. There’s a wild rose scent I’m obsessed with right now. There’s also vanilla, coconut, lavender. There’s this new technology that makes the scent burst anytime there’s friction or when you sweat.
