Get Cosy with NET-A-PORTER – The Fashion Bug Blog

Hi my loves,

Can’t believe it’s almost October! This week’s drop in temperature definitely has us bringing all the cosy knits and coats out.

I’ve teamed up with NET-A-PORTER to share some of my forever wardrobe staples as well as new season delights. I think NET-A-PORTER is the first luxury site I’ve ever shopped from and still get so excited to see the New Arrivals 3 times a week (if you have a premier account you can preview these a few days early and pre-order pieces.) They always have an amazing buy and have so many of my favourite brands are stocked on the site such as Toteme, The Row, Khaite, Loulou Studio and YSL. I also LOVE the fact that you can get the premier same-day delivery option on NET-A-PORTER so that if you are ever stuck for an event etc you can quickly get an item delivered.

I genuinely believe you don’t need a lot to update your wardrobe – a few hero pieces that you can mix and match with essentials and you can create so many different looks this way. Someone asked me on Instagram one day what to invest in and my short answer was: a leather skirt or trousers, an oversized knit, a pair of black boots and a shearling jacket. Of course, tailoring is always a good idea but I think if you want to stick to a few items then go with the above.

Knits and Cashmere

I’ve split my top picks into categories to make it easy to navigate. First up leather. I think a good pair of leather trousers or skirt is a must for the colder months – I love pairing a mini skirt with tights but also with over the knee boots for a more dressed-up look. Leather trousers are the easiest thing to throw on for an effortless everyday look – I love the Agolde ones (also come in white)

Leather

I’ve recently invested in two YSL blazers. The older I get the less I want to buy and rather spend a bit more on beautiful pieces that will stand the test of time. In love with this two-tone blazer as well as this herringbone one with exaggerated shoulders.

Tailoring

I live in basics. Toteme tanks, the Spanx Look At Me Now leggings, cashmere socks. Probably the most worn items in my wardrobe.

Basics

Now my favourite item of all: shoes! I recently bought the Khaite boots I feel like these are a soft version of the cowboy trend. I also got The Row ballerinas which are SO pretty and my The Row boots are one of the most used items in my closet – they literally go with EVERYTHING and are SO COMFY. If there is ONE pair of boots to buy for winter go for these. Heels I love the sexy shape of the sexy shape of the Love Affair Aquazzura heels and the Proenza Schouler over-the-knee boots are the coolest pair of boots I own.

Boots and Sandals

Shearling is another absolute FAVOURITE for the colder months. Halfboy have so many gorgeous pieces and love Toteme and Loulou studio too.

Accessories

Have also included an edit of bags, jeans and knits many of which I am living in – some favourites are the Loewe clutches, Girlfriend jeans and Khaite jeans.

The change in weather not only means a change in wardrobe, but also a change in your skincare essentials. I am also sharing below some of my absolute favourite skincare brands which I use on a daily basis and am always talking about. Hope you enjoy xx
