Bill Gates’ daughter Jennifer required all 300 wedding guests to be vaccinated and take COVID tests

Bill Gates’ daughter Jennifer asked everyone at her wedding to be vaccinated and take a COVID-19 test before attending, she has revealed in a Vogue interview about the lavish $2 million nuptials which she said were difficult to plan during a ‘challenging’ year ‘with the pandemic’ and her billionaire parents’ divorce.

Jennifer, 25, married equestrian Nayel Nassar, 30, this weekend on her $25 million horse farm in North Salem, New York.

In an interview with Vogue that was published Monday, Jennifer – or ‘Jenn’ – said it had been ‘challenging’ planning the event through ‘the pandemic’ and while her family was ‘going through transitions.’

Her parents announced they had divorced earlier this year in one of the most expensive in history.

‘It’s been a challenging year, both collectively with the pandemic and for our families going through transitions. But our love for one another has been a constant. Being able to celebrate our wedding with our closest friends and family was a dream come true,’ she said.

The wedding weekend involved two ceremonies (one religious, one civil), a wind-down brunch, catering by renowned New York City restaurants, a custom Vera Wang gown and performances by Coldplay. Event planner Marcy Blum took the reins for the weekend.

Nonetheless, Jennifer, who is in medical school, said it was ‘no small feat’ putting it all together.

‘Planning a wedding while I was in medical school rotations and Nayel was preparing for the Olympics was no small feat,’ she said. Nassar competed for Egypt during this year’s Olympics.

Jennifer also told Vogue she required all 300 of their wedding guests to be vaccinated and take COVID tests, she said, in order to ensure everyone’s ‘safety.’

‘We made the decision that all guests must be fully vaccinated and receive a negative test result prior to the wedding.

‘We also made masks available. We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to gather with our loved ones safely.

Jennifer, 25, married Egyptian-native Nayel Nassar this weekend on her $25million horse farm in North Salem, New York. There were two ceremonies, a Sunday brunch, catering by NYC restaurant Jean Georges and Coldplay was the wedding band. ‘We know others aren’t as lucky, especially as the pandemic continues to devastate communities in the United States and around the world,’ she added.

In one of the photos she posted from the event, proud mother Melinda can be seen sitting in the front row at the ceremony. Bill is not in the pictures posted, but DailyMail.com photographed him walking Jennifer down the aisle with Melinda.

Her first dance with her new husband was Yellow Lights, a song ‘which was written and performed by their friend and artist Harry Hudson.’

Hudson is friends with Kylie Jenner, among other stars.

Yellow Lights has been streamed more than 34 million times on Spotify.

‘One piece of advice we were given [throughout the planning process] was to remember that this day is about us and our love,’ Jennifer told Vogue.

‘I think we really kept that at the center of our minds while planning, and we also tried to ensure that our families and friends were able to enjoy themselves.’

The couple first said I Do on Friday night in a religious ceremony. They then held the big bash on Saturday before rounding off the weekend with a wedding brunch on Sunday.

‘Our main ceremony took place on Saturday. It was a beautiful fall day, and we had just finished taking photos when the rain started,’ she said.

‘The ceremony was facilitated by a longtime family friend, and we both wrote our own vows. It was a really special and intimate moment.

REVEALED: Married Bill Gates was told by Microsoft’s top lawyer to stop sending flirty and ‘inappropriate’ emails to a mid-level female employee when he was CEO a decade ago

Ex-Microsoft boss Bill Gates (seen right with then-wife Melinda Gates in 2010) was told by two top executives at the firm to stop sending flirtatious emails to a female employee he had propositioned while he was CEO and married to Melinda Gates more than a decade ago, it has been reported

Bill Gates was reportedly told by two top executives at the firm to stop sending flirtatious emails to a female employee he had propositioned while he was CEO and married to Melinda Gates more than a decade ago.

The revelation comes just months after Gates’ wife filed for divorce, claiming that the marriage was ‘irretrievably broken.’ The divorce was finalized in August.

The 2008 emails from Gates were sent to a midlevel employee at the software giant. They were later discovered by Microsoft executives.

Gates was summoned to a meeting by the company’s top lawyer at the time, Brad Smith, and Lisa Brummel, the firm’s most senior human resources executive.

During the meeting, Smith and Brummel told Gates that the emails were inappropriate and that he needed to stop, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Gates reportedly agreed to stop corresponding with the woman.

According to the Journal, Smith and Brummel informed the company board of the emails. The board met and determined that no further action was necessary since there wasn’t any physical altercation, according to the report.

A spokesperson for Microsoft told the Journal that the company was made aware of Gates’ emails to the mid-level female employee in 2007 – just months before Gates was set to retire as a full-time employee.

The spokesperson, Frank Shaw, told the Journal that Gates offered to meet the woman outside of work and off campus.

‘While flirtatious, they were not overtly sexual, but were deemed to be inappropriate,’ he said.

Shaw said that the employee never filed a complaint against Gates about the incident.

Bridgitt Arnold, a spokesperson for Bill Gates, told the Journal: ‘These claims are false, recycled rumors from sources who have no direct knowledge, and in some cases have significant conflicts of interest.’

Around the time that Gates’ wife petitioned for divorce earlier this year, news stories began to emerge about the Microsoft co-founder’s penchant for pursuing romantic relationships with female underlings.

There were also several reports about Melinda’s unhappiness over Bill’s friendship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Maria Klawe

Maria Klawe, who was a director at Microsoft from 2009 to 2015, told The Wall Street Journal that while she was not aware of any specific complaints against Gates, she felt that he behaved as though the rules did not apply to him

Earlier this year, it was learned that Gates had an ‘inappropriate’ sexual relationship with a different female staff member in 2002, and resigned while an investigation into the relationship was being investigated by the company board.

The affair came to light after the Microsoft employee wrote to the board in 2019 detailing it – and allegedly asked that Gates’ estranged wife Melinda read the letter.

The letter was seen by Smith, who is currently Microsoft’s president and vice chair, and CEO Satya Nadella.

The chairman of the board at the time, John W. Thompson, asked other members of the committee reviewing the letter not to reveal the existence of an investigation due to the sensitivity of the matter, according to the Journal.

The board members who read the letter were then required to return their copies of the letter to the company’s general counsel.

It is considered unusual for a company conducting such an investigation not to notify all board members of its existence, according to legal experts who spoke to the Journal.

‘While governance best practices are always evolving, the Board Chair and the Committee, with advice from outside legal counsel, decided to use the responsibility given to it and move forward with the initial stages of the review, recognizing that the matter could then move to the full Board in its later stages,’ Shaw told the Journal.

Gates, 65, quit the board suddenly in March 2020 while the investigation was still underway.

His spokeswoman confirmed there had been an affair almost 20 years ago but said his decision to leave Microsoft’s board was not linked to it.
