Hailee Steinfeld’s Magical Mermaid Nails Change Designs Instantly – See Photos

While it may be that time of the year to cuddle up with a warm cup of hot cocoa, Hailee Steinfeld has provided us with a sunny tune to remind us that warmer seasons will indeed come again. She just released the music video for her song “Coast,” featuring Anderson Paak — which, as you can imagine, comes with bright beach visuals and nods to the most magical creatures of the sea: mermaids.

To go along with the video’s visuals and Steinfeld’s mermaid-esque glamour, nail artist Tom Bachik created a picture-perfect mermaid manicure. On November 11, he shared a video on Instagram showcasing a seemingly plain nude manicure that reveals a surprise design as Steinfeld rubs a cotton pad across her nails. After she buffs out the index finger, fishnet nail art begins to unfold atop a base of ombré white, coral, and blue hues.

To start off the Monday morning right, on November 14, Bachik shared his weekly #ManiMonday photo featuring the final result of her opulent set. Although the fishnet design was the signature nail art on only two of her nails, the rest of her oval-shaped manicure had a little bit of glaze, lots of ombré, and just a little bit of chrome toward the tips of her nails.
